The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued Ministerial Decision No. (60) for 2024, significantly reducing service fees by over 90% across sectors including commerce, industry, business development, and consumer protection. Effective immediately upon publication in the official gazette, this decision aims to stimulate economic growth and attract both national and international businesses, aligning with Qatar's Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030) and Qatar National Vision 2030.
The fee reductions cover essential services such as commercial registration, licensing, corporate services, and IP rights protection. New commercial registrations and licenses are now set at just QAR 500, encouraging new business ventures and entrepreneurship. This initiative follows comprehensive assessments to address investor needs and is expected to positively impact the market, particularly in company formation and commercial operations.
